Router table insert plates make it easy to lift your router out and set it on the table for comfortable bit changes, height adjustments, maintenance and even to use your router free hand or with a straight edge guide. They save you from a lot of backaches, squinting and bumps on the back of the head from stooping under the table. These router plates are made of 3/8' solid phenolic, which has naturally low-friction for easy sliding. In addition, phenolic is very stable and extremely durable. At 8-1/4' x 11-3/4', they fit both our current tables and most of our old tables, and work equally as well with shop-made router tables. Which Router Plate Do I Need? To choose a pre-drilled plate, find your router below. Router Plate A: Bosch MRC23 Series, 1617-1618 DeWalt 616-618 Hitachi M12VC (fixed and kit) Makita 1100 Milwaukee 5615-5624 Porter-Cable 690 Porter-Cable 890 Porter-Cable 7529 Porter-Cable 97529 Porter-Cable 8529 Ridgid 2930 Combo Kit Note: Current models of the Porter-Cable 892 require at least two screws to be 1/2" long versus 5/8".
